Excellent layout and pictures. I had a prince of darkness nymph that used black and white biots and my tieing instructions got lost or destroyed. Anyone know where I can find the instructions.

I am like you I just tie what I know works and the simpler the better. I tie the woolly in several color schemes and they are my go to fly up here in Saskatchewan, Canada

Dan from Luxembourg,

For you and other people's sake I have now added a stamp and a declaration on these articles that they are irony!

Take off the serious steel rimmed glasses and put on the funny blue ones with a mustache underneath them, look in the mirror, laugh and read the article again, and then tell me that you still seriously mean that anybody would have written this and meant it!?

Really?

Martin

Dan from Luxembour,

Have you ever heard the term "irony"?

So you really, seriously think that I'd write articles like these in dead seriousness?
It must be my lousy writing skills that aren't up to the task.

THIS IS FOR FUN!

Read it again, this time with your "funny-glasses" on...

Hi guys
In my life i have rarely read bloody chitt like Mr. Joergensen article.
Wy not just goeing to the water and catch a fish if you can.
Nobody cares about your old rod or even older flyline when you catch this very elusive four pounder in front of you.
Well ,this article fit the flyfishing retailers and manufact...
I fished seven times Tasmanian waters on my oversea trips and believe me you will never met a guy in this part of the world who will spend a single word about your fishing gear.
The only thing who is relevant for this guys is getting the right fly on the right place at the right moment ,because you will get only one try or you will never seen this fish again.
Do you think these trouts have any admiration for your 700 dollar waders , or if you fish with a 700 dollar rod or if you wear a tie?
Dont think so!
Tight lines.

Sam,

Thanks for your comment... and once again I'm surprised that any one can be in doubt... this is for fun!

It must be my mediocre writing skills that leave people in doubt. I may have to make some kind of stamp or declaration in the beginning of these articles to emphasize that this is pure irony... quite a lot of readers seem to be in doubt.

Luckily some did get it the first time around, so I must have done something almost right.

This sound to me like a sour grapes article intended for those Walmart loyalty card holders who either a) cannot afford the best (of very good) gear, intended to make themselves feel better, or b) "grunge is cool" or "jeans with holes" crowd pleaser... either way, if it's a joke then "ha ha ha..." if on the other hand it's a dig then @$%@# ya'll.

bottom line.... if I can afford the best, then I'ma get it and who cares what you think!

Love the fly Gary...like the fact that the rest of the world gets to see how our "streamer whiz kid" can really create beauty! Those who don't know Gary, he is THE example of his above statement about "happy to share and pass along their knowledge". Thanks Gary, you and your site are primo!!
Murray

David, I just the beautiful fly you tied at the top of all these posts. I also am sending my best wishes for a speedy recovery from your latest setback. Looking forward to chatting with you again soon. Take care. Loretta

Ted, I love this pattern. You don't see it much. You did a wonderful job on it. Congrats for bringing this beauty to 365 Streamers. This is a fairly difficult pattern to tie, I know. :-)

The GFF money box

… I have a small favor to ask.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
