Born and raised a few miles down stream (Cattle Flat) from where this was shot . Typical early season conditions. Don't catch many large trout (6 lb plus) here.
Typical size is usually 2-4 lb mark, but all in prime condition and tend to be extremely wary and selective as to be expected from a wild hatchery. Deserving of it's world class reputation

Martin,
This is too cool!!! I have rods that are called "Float and Fly." They are a spinning rod built from a fly rod blank. Mine are both 9 foot and probably translate into a 6 or 7 weight. I am using the newly released Nanofil line which is super slick. I'm now going to build a trial shooting head using your directions and give it a try on the Nanofil.

Hi Tom
You've shown me the earlyer models of the fine reels you've made at our club evenings.
And I thought had an idea of what your capable of.
But your new creation realy is something else it not only looks great it runs smooth to pure stroke of geniouse how you've used the fish desin as base plate.
Best regards Gert

Charlie, you look great behind that vise. Your Maine Game Warden streamer is one of my favorites. I look forward to seeing some of your other creations as well as stopping by for a visit in the near future :)

It really is a wonderful fly. I just recieved several of Charlies flies and will be including them in the project. :) Thanks Charlie, it's an honor to have your streamers included.

I just picked up some supplies from a good friend in Fredericton which will allow me to tie some more of the streamers in this series. I will include them with the two I already mentioned.

Since you got this far …

The GFF money box

… I have a small favor to ask.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
