Darren, what do you mean humbled, your head is expanding even as I type this!!! Ha, Ha. Seriously, a very thoughtful and deserving tribute to a person who is definitely deserving! Kudos!

Hi David

He builds this "spool keepers" by his self. He calls them "Spool Minder". You could find a video on his youtube channel.
It looks very handy. I think I will build some by my self. It looks very easy to craft a bunch of them.

Absolutely fan-bloody-tastic images. Glad Isaias made the cut!

Very well tied streamer Tony, and I agree with Alan in that it looks like a great one for catching fish. Nice and castable looking.

I have never fly fished but I really enjoy coming to your blog a looking at the fly that you create. I grew up bass fishing in central FL and all we ever use it "rubber" worms. I always thought that fly fishing looked like a dance but now that I see the bait it should be recognized as an art. Beautiful!

Hi Joel and Kelly;
Thanks for your comment and compliment! Joel, I forget how I did that smooth transition from tag to body...just kidding...LOL!
Thanks again, I'm glad you like the fly. I had actually forgotten I sent this pattern to Darren, I thought I was about done with my submitted flies.

Hi Joel;
Thank you very much for your compliment on my work, and for noticing the heads. Something I'm particular about, and it's nice that you noticed. Thank you very much for your kind words!

Since you got this far …

The GFF money box

… I have a small favor to ask.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
