Gone Fishin´ on Vancouver Island B.C. this September - we caught many Pinks,a Coho and some nice Chinooks!
Stunning fly, very well tied, well done Eunan...
Nice, Dave. The wet fly is one of my favorite! If only for the name, and the colors are pretty cool too. Nice conversion to the streamer!!
Eunan
Very pretty streamer.
Wonderful job on the conversion.
Very nicely tied STRMR Eunan. I really like it. The wings are married perfectly. Where can I get those goose dyed feathers? Any link? Petr
Thanks Petr,
All the goose i use is from John McLain or Aaron Ostoj
An excellent article. I tie flies and jigs all the time, but learned something from this article. An excellent 'teacher'.
Excellent article!
I tie these flies as teasers above a jig for surf fishing. You never know what you're going to hook up to when fishing one.
shoulders are ringneck body feathers dyed black
I'm a big fan of barred wood duck, copper, and GP crests. Great material choice by the original tyer. Very nice work. I enjoyed reading the history too of this fly. You did an excellent job with this fly.
I had never heard of this pattern until now, staying in Scotland myself,i will have to tie some up.I think this streamer will work great on those big "back end trout"....
Great video!
"Salta Province in NW Argentina is the only place on earth where you can consistently catch large freshwater dorado (Salminus maxilosus) on small, clear streams". And Bolivia too of course...
Hi Don,
this is very orginal blend of colors, nicely tied STRMR. What are the shoulders (cheeks)? Are those dyed or natural?
Another clean, and beautiful tie Mike!
love it...but there is an added bonus for me...Hank was a close friend.
Hi Glenn,
Love the fly. As usual, a terrific job. Hope to catch you at a JW meeting this year.
Best regards,
Bruce
