Stunning fly. The profile is dead on. Beautiful colors, and choice of materials.

Bit of a shame these have been discontinued- I felt as though the build quality showed up a lot of the $700 flagship rods. I have a 6wt Sw and it ticks off all of the boxes of a high end saltwater rod. I still can't get over the flor grade cork....

nice film, bad to use the "boga grip" or garf because the fish died few hours later always !!

Ariel,
No, I use neither of these knots (which are not the same). I use a nailless nail knot, which you can see here, which looks like part of both the uni and the Duncan knots, but aren't quite the same.

Pete, Florian, Donald,
Thanks for the kind words. As long as you guys and a few others keep posting, I feel that there's a good reason to keep this running. I enjoy the calm tone and the great flies, and it might not be busy and high traffic, but it has its charm.

Florian,
Really sorry to hear about your agony. Hopefully it will disappear once the surgery heals...
EPO, stereoids, pain-killers, blood doping... you have to go fishing! And I'm sure standing with the sore foot in cold water will help!
And no, no doping for me, but crutches, support bandages and even a wheelchair has been (is) on my tab. We don't get any younger.

Dear M.J. Isn't your fly to line knot a Uni (Duncan) knot?

Paul,
Nope, these should be a much better quality. I have ordered one and will be reporting about the result as soon as I get it.

Jan,
I never heard of The Morton and Gold (or Silver). I can't find any references to it anywhere, and I haven't noticed Davie McPhail mentioning it either. I will check my books later today and see if I can find anything.
