Hi,

I am pleased to announce that my new short video 'AGAINST THE TIDE' is now finished, and is available to view here.

'AGAINST THE TIDE' is a short video filmed with the support of Orvis, shot along the Hampshire coast, UK.

I hope you enjoy it, and I have a number of other projects I will be working on this year!

Many thanks,
Matt

Gary, you mention Rick MacDonald. Would you have a photo or illustration of his shrimp streamer atlantic salmon fly? It sounds like it would be a great Fall run fly and I'd like to tie up a few for the Mirimachi river later this year.
Thanks,
Peter

Thanks for checking our video out. This was our first attempt at making one.

Bob, you did a terrific job here. I am a big fan, and I love reading your articles. Loved the step by step here. I might get enough courage to tie one after this.

I bought the book last year in anticipation of moving to Colorado. That has happened yet so I sent my copy to our son Jon who lives in the Denver area and fishes all over CO. He loves this book and refers to it often! He has used it successfully and I am looking forward to being there with him this summer using it, too. BTW, the author also has a line of favorite RMNP flies that goes along with this - which made a nice stocking stuffer for Jon at Christmas.

I so closely associate this pattern with Chris Del Plato that when I read the "next article" promo a few days back I thought, "Great, Chris is doing a step-by-step on Oatman bodies."

But (surprise) it's Bob Petti. And (no surprise) the fly is amazing!

Top notch tutorial... Bob. :)

very nice fly.

question: is the tail a single width or was it folded in half (eg: 1/4 inch wide and folded in half = 1/8 inch wide)

Since you got this far …

The GFF money box

… I have a small favor to ask.

Long story short

Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.

Long story longer

The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
