Hello Raymond. Thanks so much for your comments. Would be honored to have you sharing our decal. Currently we offer the decal on stickers, t-shirts & hats through our Kickstarter campaign (link is on this page). The "rewards" are listed on Kickstarter on the right side of screen. Later in the summer we will likely have them for sale directly from the website we are creating. We definitely want to get you something whether or not Kickstarter works for you. Please feel free to email us at fishonmovie@gmail.com Good luck teaching your girlfriend to fish! I'm taking my wife out this summer!
In my years since i was little,i have been blessed with my dad introducing me to fishing and hunting and throu the years enjoyed the seniors who share the same sport and thaugh me so much and to sit with them by the fire sipping tea and maybe a little extra in the tea,i always wanted to see or do something special for them ,since dad is 84 this year and will be fly fishing for atlantic salmon with me and is anxious for this .i would love to see and read more stories about dads and kids for fathers day because alot of us wouldnt fly fish if it wasnt for our dads who took us and showed us how to,for me Dad is the best fly i can have with me when fishing together ,even when we dont catch anything watching others sitting on the bank ,laughing and listning to his stories and especially when another guy his age show up and they talk wow i sit there and listen like a kid in a candy store.your site is so great for me and shared with others thank u.
it is so true that fly fishing brings them therapy that no one can buy,i also have a few fly fishing friends who are fighting to beat cancer ,and they forget that they are sick when they fish ,i would like to know where i cold purchase a decal like yours to offer them and show them they are not alone,i also am suporting and fighting with my girlfriend who was diagnose with breast cancer,i want to introduce her to fly fishing when possible, she is doing good and hopefully it will be over soon with healling, thank u so much for this i also fly fish and it takes me to another world even if only for a few hrs,an if she feels to it,she will be learning how to fly fish this summer with me.
Nice. I have one on my desk that I tied and caught a seven pound brookie on in Labrador with my friend Joe Sterling. It brought back many happy memories.
Oh I am so glad somebody tied this pattern. Don, it is gorgeous.
If you want to get a bit more info on the pattern and more background on the tyer, visit Don's post about the streamer. http://donbastianwetflies.wordpress.com/2012/06/10/barnes-special/
We couldn't do the project without the Barnes Special. I would be like leaving out the Black or Grey Ghost!
Thanks for the visit Ken. Glad to hear about your success and memories of the Barnes Special.
Gorgeous fly. Ticks all the right boxes for me. WELL DONE!
Mike these and all your flies have always been an inspiration to me.
The streamers are just beautiful and tied by a master craftsman.
Hi Eunan;
After our e-mail exchange yesterday about the International Fly Tying Symposium, I thought of your Sidewinder streamer today and checked it out. Beautiful creativity and work here. Very nice!
David,
Exactly my fear. Not knowing the value will most likely just stamp the books as "old books" and they will be trashed rather than sold or "recycled" through a book dealer.
Martin
Martin even worse is the thought of these being discarded in the rain or burned!!!
Great patters, going up to the limestone lochs in durness,in a couple of weeks, vice bamboozld with ideas!!!!!!love it.
… I have a small favor to ask.
Support the Global FlyFisher through several different channels, including PayPal.
The Global FlyFisher has been online since the mid-90's and has been free to access for everybody since day one – and will stay free for as long as I run it.
But that doesn't mean that it's free to run.
It costs money to drive a large site like this.
